Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS ABU DHABI 003422 SIPDIS DEPT FOR NEA/ARP, IO/T E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: USUN, TBIO, KSCA, PREL, PHUM, TC SUBJECT: UAEG WILL ENDORSE BAN ON ALL HUMAN CLONING REF: ABU DHABI 3127 1. (U) Local press reported that after attending a meeting last week in Paris organized by a special committee affiliated with WHO and UNESCO to discuss human cloning, Ministry of Health Assistant Undersecretary for Curative Medicine Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Al-Hawi stated that the UAE would support a ban on all human cloning. The UAE's position would extend the prohibition to all laboratory experiments related to genetic research. 2. (SBU) Comment: Al-Hawi's public statement indicates that the UAEG should support the Costa Rican resolution in the UNGA, as the MFA told us in reftel. End comment. WAHBA
