Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS AMMAN 004307 SIPDIS SENSITIVE E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: ETTC, PREL, PTER, IZ, JO, UNSC SUBJECT: IRAQ ASSETS: JORDAN TO LOOK FOR/FREEZE ASSETS OF 55 REF: STATE 196163 SENSITIVE BUT UNCLASSIFIED 1. (sbu) Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) Deputy Governor Mohammad Said Shahin told ECON/C that the CBJ would circularize to commercial banks the list of 55 names of individuals whose assets must be frozen pursuant to UNSCR 1483. Banks would be instructed to freeze any such assets and report to the CBJ. Shahin did not expect, however, that any such accounts would be located in Jordan, particularly given the intense search for Iraqi assets that had already been undertaken by the CBJ and other Jordanian authorities.
