(C) We delivered reftel demarche to UN Attache Orcun Baser, in the absence of Department Head Gokcen Kaya. Baser commented informally that Turkey supports U.S. resolutions regarding HIV/AIDS, women's participation in the political process, cyber-security but is undecided on cloning and is currently querying medical faculties about this issue. Baser said the Multilateral Economics Department is still reviewing issues related to Second Committee Reform and UN budget discipline. Post will follow up and provide further details as MFA makes its decisions on these issues. PEARSON
