US embassy cable - 03ANKARA3085

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

3. BEGIN TEXT:

Turkey has contributed to the strenghtening of international
criminal law also through its support for the establishment
of the International Criminal Tribunals for the Former
Yugoslavia and Rwanda. The nomination of a Turkish candidate
for election as ad-litem judge to the International Criminal

to the development of international humanitarian and criminal
law.

Mr. Aydin Sefa Akay, whose curriculum vitae is attached
