(U) Sun Kim, Second Secretary at the Korean Embassy in Ankara, said his Embassy recently sent its formal invitation to the GOT for the 3rd Global Forum on Fighting Corruption, to be held in Seoul May 29-31. He said the Korean Embassy did not receive instructions from Seoul to jointly approach (with us) host government. 2. (U) Kim said the GOT will be sending two or three officials from the Ministry of Justice, led by Justice Minister Cemil Cicek. While the GOT delegation will attend the 3rd Global Forum on Fighting Corruption, Kim did not know whether the delegation would also be attending the 11th International Anticorruption Forum, which will be held in Seoul May 25-28, prior to the 3rd Global Forum.
