(C) A/DCM May 1 presented a copy of the Roadmap to and reviewed reftel points with Ali al-Ayed, Personal Assistant to Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher. Ayed took careful notes of the talking points, focusing especially on the actions that the USG is asking Israel and the Palestinian Authority to take. He said he would pass the Roadmap and points to FonMin Muasher, currently in London. Ayed said that Jordan is very pleased that the Roadmap has been presented to the parties and released publicly, and reiterated Jordan's desire to work with the U.S., the Quartet, the Palestinians, other Arab partners, and Israel to move the process forward.
