US embassy cable - 03ANKARA1949

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

(C) Poloff March 25 delivered Reftel talking points to Serra
Erarslan, head of the MFA Iraq and Gulf Countries Department.
Erarslan said the GOT opposes discussion of Iraq in the
General Assembly. She said the GOT will consider the USG
position urging allies to support the Coalition effort in any
open UNSC session on Iraq, but she did not know whether the
GOT would instruct its Permrep to speak at such a session.
