SITREP NO. 10 AS OF 2359 HOURS LOCAL, 1559 HOURS WASHINGTON TIME MARCH 23. 2. EVENTS SINCE LAST SITREP (all reported times are Kuwait Local, GMT plus three): ----------------- Security/Military ----------------- NSTR --------- Political --------- Embassy operations center received 14 phone calls (12 women, 2 men) expressing outrage and sorrow at the television reports carried by the Al-Jazeera television network of alleged U.S. prisoners and casualties. One caller stated her desire to present flowers to the Embassy. At the request of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry, Embassy prepared a brief fact sheet outlining U.S. humanitarian aid commitments to Iraq. -------- Consular -------- There are no pending cases of Americans who have requested Embassy assistance to leave Kuwait. ---------- Management ---------- NSTR 3.
