US embassy cable - 05LAGOS1866

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

AgAttache delivered demarche to Dr. Yemi Obafemi,
Acting Director for International Trade, Federal
Ministry of Commerce. Dr. Obafemi was receptive to
the U.S. position on the EU's proposed requirement
for wood packaging materials. He said Nigeria shares
similar concerns as the United States and other countries on
this measure and he promised to share the U.S. position
paper with his colleagues both in Abuja and Geneva and
provide feedback in the coming days.
