On November 23, POLCOUNS delivered reftel points on next steps for the Foundation for the Future to Joke Buringa (Deputy Head, Gulf States Division, North Africa/Middle East Department, MFA). In reviewing reftel timeline, POLCOUNS noted the upcoming meeting in Amman and the December 5 deadline for submitting nominations for Chairman of the Foundation For the Future Board. 2. POLCOUNS followed up with Willem Beelarts (Head, Israel/Palestinian Division, North Africa/Middle East Department, MFA) on December 2. Beelarts confirmed that the Dutch planned to participate in the Amman meeting but did not provide details. He said the Dutch did not intend to nominate anyone for the Chair position, but did expect to present nominations for the board later. Beelarts noted that the MFA was looking at a number of individuals from the Dutch NGO community who might be suitable board members. BLAKEMAN
