REASON 1.4 (E) 1. (S) Ecouns delivered reftel points November 30 to Central Bank of Jordan Deputy Governor Faris Sharaf. Sharaf undertook to relay the names to Jordan's banks and to act on any forthcoming directive from the UN Security Council. 2. (S) Polcouns delivered reftel message to Dimai Haddad, director of the Foreign Minister's private office, on November 28. Haddad gave his assurance that he would brief recently-appointed foreign minister, Abdul Ilah Khatib, but provided no other substantive response. HALE
