US embassy cable - 05ABUDHABI4901

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

 (C) On November 23, Pol Chief discussed the MDA issue with
Sultan Al Romeithi, office director of Minstate for Foreign
Affairs Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed. Al Romeithi said the UAEG
was neutral on the issue. Pol Chief pulsed both Al Romeithi
and MFA International Organizations Department Director Yacub
Al Hosani on November 29. Al Romeithi did not return
messages, but Al Hosani, who was in Jeddah November 30, told
Pol Chief that the UAEG was pleased by the MDA and PRCS
agreement and that the UAE's delegation to Geneva would be
consulting with the UAE's representative to Geneva in the
coming days about what action, if any, the UAE would take
during the December 5-7 Diplomatic Conference.
