Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

The continuous and invaluable support of the United States of America has enabled us to sustain the momentum of our reform efforts and achieve a favorable performance in many socioeconomic spheres, especially during these challenging times. I would also like to inform you that the Government of Jordan is interested in participating in the Threshold Program. For this purpose, I designate Mrs. Suhair Al-Ali, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation to coordinate Jordan's MCA efforts, and to serve as the principal liaison with the MCC. As you are aware, Jordan has taken significant steps towards the implementation of a comprehensive reform agenda, with the aim of propelling growth and realizing a sustainable improvement in the welfare of its citizens. We therefore, welcome the MCC team to work closely with all the stakeholders in Jordan in order to address key areas where our indicators are lagging, enabling us to achieve progress leading to MCA eligibility as soon as possible. In closing, I would like to extend Jordan's warmest gratitude for your kind feelings and support in the face of the recent terrorist attacks. Please also accept my thanks and appreciation for your strong support to our development efforts. Sincerely, Dr. Adnan Badran End text. HALE
