UNCLAS DAR ES SALAAM 002139 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PHUM, EAID, PREL, SU, TZ SUBJECT: TANZANIA: DEPSEC ZOELLICK'S SPEECH DELIVERED TO MFA REF: STATE 205787 (U) On November 16, PolOff delivered a copy of Deputy Secretary Zoellick's speech to Ambassador Liberata Mulamula, SIPDIS Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of Multilateral Cooperation and International Organizations, per reftel. Mulamula commented that there appears to be a deadlock in the Sudan peace process and that the situation is "overstretching" the capacity of the African Union, but she hopes that USG involvement at this level brings progress.
