Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

Grantee: Center Aicha Bogoreh for the Protection of the Mother and Child DHRF number: DHRFII-05-603-01 DESCRIPTION: The Center would like to contribute to the creation and continuity of a community in which children from poor origins or handicapped could have access to professional or basic education and take control of their future. The right to education is a fundamental right for any child of school age. The lack of specialized schools and trained teachers has dramatic consequences on the psychological well being of the handicapped children in Djibouti. So it is important to grant this right by remedying the existing shortcomings in this matter. The Center, which has already opened the first classroom for deaf children in the country, would like to bring the fate and difficult living conditions of the handicapped children to the awareness of the public and government. Handicapped children include the deaf, the blind and the physically handicapped. Amount Obligated: US$ 25,000 Unliquidated Balance: US$ 25,000 B. Computer information allows a large dissemination of information that reaches beyond national borders. The Ministry of Justice plans to put in place a website for the propagation of judicial and judiciary information and the collection in a database of all the conventions and treaties that the country is committed to.
