(SBU) Croatian Assistant Minister for Fisheries Ivan Katavic, Ministry of Agriculture, told Econoff on November 9 that the GOC supported Dr. Gerald Scott for chair of the Standing Committee on Research and Statistics (SCRS) and that he expects Croatia to support Dr. Hogarth as well. Katavic stressed that the GOC was interested in stronger involvement of the SCRS and decision-making based on science.
