SUBJECT: AMBASSADORS MEETING WITH HONORARY CONSUL FOR UK

1.  (S) On 11/10/2005 at approximately 1000 Mr. Alain 
Martinet, Honorary Consul for the U.K., called the Ambassador 
because he wanted to come to the Embassy to discuss a 
security issue.  At 1030 the Ambassador met with Mr. Martinet 
who passed to the Ambassador that he had been contacted by a 
man named "Mohamed".  Mohamed claimed to have information 
about a planned terrorist attack in London and provided names 
and details to Mr. Martinet. 
 
2.  (S) The Ambassador informed ORA and RSO about the 
conversation.  ORA stated that the subject's name is Mohamed 
Omar Guled and he is a known information peddler who has also 
approached LEGATT Nairobi and CJTF HOA with the same 
information.  Subject's information was deemed not credible 
when he failed to pass a polygraph.  This information has 
already been passed to British Intelligence. 
 
3.  (S) Mr. Martinet has another meeting with the subject set 
up for the evening 11/10/2005.  RSO asked, if possible, to 
get a photo copy of the subject's passport as well as any 
other biographical information.
