UNCLAS KINGSTON 002528 SIPDIS DEPARTMENT FOR WHA/CAR (BENT) SOUTHCOM FOR POLAD AND J7 E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PHUM, PREL, JM, UNHRC-1, UNGA SUBJECT: DEMARCHE REQUEST - UN THIRD COMMITTEE RESOLUTIONS, US VOTING PRIORITIES REF: STATE 204646 On November 8, Poloff delivered reftel talking points by telephone and fax to Pamela Ingleton, International Organizations Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT). Ingleton thanked Poloff for the information. On November 9, Ingleton called Poloff to say that she had submitted her recommendation on the referenced Third Committee resolutions to her delegation in New York. She explained that Jamaica "never supports no-action motions." Instead, Ingelton said that she had recommended that the GOJ should abstain from voting for these resolutions. TIGHE
