UNCLAS OTTAWA 003348 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PTER, TBIO, PINS, EAGR SUBJECT: PROPOSED AGENDA ITEMS FOR UK-HOSTED MEETING OF THE G-8 BIOTERRORISM EXPERTS GROUP (BTEX) REF: SECSTATE 203478 1. (U) Post delivered ref points to Sebastien Beaulieu, Deputy Director for Counter-Terrorism in the International Crime and Terrorism Division (ICT) of Foreign Affairs Canada (FAC). While Canada will not/not be submitting any proposals for the December 12 BTEX meeting in London, Beaulieu thanked us for our efforts. Canada looks forward to receiving USG proposals. 2. (U) Beaulieu assured us that someone from his division would lead the Canadian delegation. He undertook to enoourage the participation of other divisions and agencies, including FAC's nonproliferation office, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada (PSEPC) and Public Health Agemcy of Canada (PHAC). 3.
