Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS LIMA 004783 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PHUM, PREL, PE, UNHRC-1 SUBJECT: PERU: DEMARCHE DELIVERED ON UN THIRD COMMITTEE RESOUTIONS REF: STATE 204646 Poloff delivered the demarche on UN Third Committee Resolutions to the Foreign Ministry's Director of Human Rights, Carlos Roman, on 11/8. Roman did not have an official reaction, but noted that Peru had supported U.S. and E.U. initiatives in the Third Commission and that he could not see any reasons that Peru's positions would change, particularly since the human rights situations in the countries in question had not changed. Roman added that the Peruvian Mission in New York had already been instructed to support the thematic resolution on the impact of corruption and the enjoyment of human rights. STRUBLE
