UNCLAS SAN SALVADOR 003023 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PHUM, PREL, ES, UNHRC-1 SUBJECT: DEMARCHE DELIVERED - UN THIRD COMMITTEE RESOLUTIONS (EL SALVADOR) REF: STATE 204646 On November 8, 2005, poloff spoke with Ambassador Nelson Amaya, Ministry of Foreign (MFA) Affairs Sub-director for Foreign Relations. Amaya stated that he had consulted with Foreign Minister Francisco Lainez, and El Salvador's delegation to the United Nations. He stated that the Salvadoran delegation in New York has not yet received the text of the resolutions regarding North Korea and Uzbekistan, but that the GOES had always supported the US position regarding these human rights resolutions and planned to do so regarding these resolutions.
