Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS OTTAWA 003301 SIPDIS SENSITIVE E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: ECON, ETRD, FDA SUBJECT: OTTAWA RESPONSE: DEMARCHE ON CODEX MEETING ON INFANT FORMULA STANDARDS REF: SECSTATE 202287 (SBU) 1. Econoff provided talking points to specified Health Canada contact Christina Zehaluk on November 4, 2005. Ms. Zehaluk said that the GOC would support a higher level for added nucleotides, and if 16mg/kcal was "the number on the table" she felt that the GOC could probably support that, based on current added levels in products for sale in Canada and the United States. Ms. Zehaluk did mention, however, that she does not feel that this is the most important topic under consideration at the upcoming meeting, and she is suprised at the level of attention it is getting.
