UNCLAS TEGUCIGALPA 002249 SIPDIS SENSITIVE STATE FOR PM/WRA, WHA/PPC, WHA/CEN, INL/LP, AND S/CT DOD FOR DTRA - OSAE E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PARM, MASS, PREL, MARR, PTER, MOPS, SNAR, KLIG, HO SUBJECT: HONDURAN MOD REQUESTS SA/LW DESTRUCTION AND PROVIDES DETAILED LIST, AFTER TWO MONTH WAIT REF: TEGUCIGALPA 1693 (SBU) This is an Action request for PM/WRA and DTRA: The Government of Honduras (GOH) has requested assistance with Small Arms and Light Weapons (SA/LW) destruction. Post received a formal request from Minister of Defense Federico Breve Travieso for the assistance as offered by the SA/LW ordnance destruction team. GOH provided a list of over 13,000 weapons for destruction. The list has been faxed to PM/WRA and Post is awaiting further instructions. Williard
