SUBJECT: EAC FOR AVIAN INFLUENZA PLANNING 
 
 
1.  Vilnius EAC convened October 25 to discuss preparedness 
for Avian Flu contingencies and decided to take the following 
safety measures: 
 
 
A.  Post will procure small amounts of Tamiflu for 
contingencies until Department orders of the same arrive at 
Post. 
B.  Post will procure hand sanitizers for use in the 
Embassy. 
C.  Post will issue a management notice regarding standards 
of symptoms that would preclude employees from coming to 
work. 
D.  Post will develop an optional quarantine policy for 
Americans with family members. 
E.  Post is developing tripwires as to when actions will be 
taken and will share any warnings with the Amcit community.
