UNCLAS LIMA 004565 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PREL, PE, UNGA SUBJECT: ISRAEL AT UNGA - I: HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE RESOLUTION (PERU) REF: SECSTATE 188927 Polcouns delivered the demarche on the Holocaust Remembrance Resolution to the Foreign Ministry's Director of Multilateral Affairs, Julio Garro, and Director of UN Affairs, Miguel Barreto, on 10/24. Garro said that Peru strongly supports the Holocaust Remembrance Resolution, expects it to pass by consensus, and added that Peru's Permrep in New York is actively coordinating with his Israeli counterpart on this issue.
