(U) On October 18, Polcouns transmitted reftel talking points and USTR fact sheet to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT), by fax. On October 20, Econoff met with Alison Stone, Acting Director of Foreign Trade at MFAFT to follow up. Stone said she would be share USG concerns in a meeting with the visiting Ambassador Ransford Smith, GOJ's Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, that afternoon. She added that the relevant information would be passed on to the GOJ delegation in Geneva that afternoon by fax. Stone stated that GOJ had no substantive comment at this time. TIGHE
