Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS PRAGUE 001493 SIPDIS SENSITIVE STATE FOR EB/ESC/TFS (JCLARK), S/CT (TKUSHNE), INL/C/CP (SPETERSON), TREASURY FOR OFAC (PLURIE) E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: KVPR, PTER, KTFN, EFIN, ETTC, PREL EZ SUBJECT: TERRORISM FINANCE COORDINATING OFFICER FOR CZECH REPUBLIC REF: SECSTATE 175637 1. (SBU) The Terrorism Finance Coordinating Officer for Embassy Prague is DCM Cameron Munter, 420-257-530-662 ext. 2303, email: MunterCP@state.gov. The TFCO Deputy is Richard Hinman, Political officer, tel. 420-257-530-663 ext. 2313, email: HinmanRC@state.gov. 2. (U) Post believes that a regional training course for FIU personnel and other associated agencies would be highly beneficial for our host nation counterparts to enhance cooperation and expertise on this issue. Such training could not only enhance the effectiveness of the individual FIUs, but it could also facilitate (or in some cases, initiate) contacts and coordination between FIUs within the region. 3. (U) Because of the complexity of the issue, the need for consistent multilateral action, and the interagency nature of USG actions against terrorist finance, we also feel that periodic regional meetings and training for TFCOs and/or their deputies from other embassies would help enhance both our situational awareness and effectiveness across EUR. Continued engagement through the US-EU Task Force and emphasis upon the issue from visitors from inside and outside of the Department will help also help keep terrorist finance issues priorities on the GOCR agenda.
