Per Ref A instructions, Post requested the GOCR's support for a seat on the World Heritage Committee via Diplomatic Note in July, 2005. 2. On October 12, Post received Costa Rican Diplomatic Note DGPE/DPM/AC 886/10/05, officially confirming that Costa Rica will support the U.S. bid. 3. Unofficial translation of the Diplomatic Note follows: Republic of Costa Rica Ministry of Foreign Relations General Directorate for Foreign Policy The Ministry of Foreign Relations - General Directorate for Foreign Policy - presents its compliments to the Honorable Embassy of the United States of America and has the honor to refer to your note number 116, by which the Embassy has requested the support of the Government of Costa Rica for the candidacy of the Government of the United States of America for the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, in the elections to be held at the 15th World Heritage Convention to be celebrated in Paris, France, in October of this year.
