1. On October 7, post received a diplomatic note confirming
Irish support for the U.S. candidacy in the election to
UNESCO's World Heritage Committee.
2. Begin text of diplomatic note:
The Department of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to
the Embassy of the United States of America and has the
honour to refer to the Embassy's Note 349 of 1 July 2005
concerning the candidature of the United States of America
for election to the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is pleased to confirm that
Ireland will support the United States of America for
election to the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO.
