1. On September 26, post received the below diplomatic note
text confirming Irish support for Judge Thomas Buergenthal
for election to the International Court of Justice.
2. Begin text of diplomatic note:
The Department of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to
the Embassy of the United States of America and has the
honour to refer to the Embassy's Note 233 of 3 May 2005
concerning the candidature of Judge Thomas Buergenthal for
election to the International Court of Justice.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is pleased to confirm that
Ireland will support Judge Thomas Buergenthal for election to
the International Court of Justice.
