UNCLAS THE HAGUE 002564 SIPDIS SENSITIVE E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PREL, PREF, PHUM, EAID, NL SUBJECT: NETHERLANDS/SUDAN: URGING INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN INITIATIVES IN DARFUR REF: SECSTATE 172323 1. (SBU) On September 21, POLOFF shared reftel points with Stella Kloth, Sudan Desk Officer at the MFA and member of the Dutch Government's Sudan Task Force. Kloth was very interested in the points and promised to share them with her colleagues at the Dutch Embassy in Khartoum. 2. (SBU) Kloth noted that the Dutch Embassy in Khartoum has a budget of approximately one million euros to be used for human rights initiatives. She said she would explore whether the fund could be used for a joint initiative pursuant to reftel points and get back to post. BLAKEMAN
