UNCLAS THE HAGUE 002561 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PARM, KNNP, NL SUBJECT: NETHERLANDS: LETTER FROM U/S JOSEPH ON FUEL SUPPLY ASSURANCES REF: STATE 172017 Post sent reftel letter to the office of Political Director Hugo Siblecz (currently on travel) on September 20. Polmiloff also hand-delivered letter to Ceta Noland (Senior Advisor, Nuclear Affairs and Non-Proliferation Division, MFA) September 20. Noland expressed thanks for the letter, but noted with surprise USG plans to pursue a joint statement by the end of the year given criticism voiced during the experts' meeting in Paris. Noland declined further comment and stated she would pass the letter on to the appropriate individuals for further review. BLAKEMAN
