US embassy cable - 05TEGUCIGALPA1887

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

1. EconOff delivered the talking points (reftel A) to
Minister of Industry and Trade Irving Guerrero on September
9. In the midst of a domestic energy crises (reftel B),
Guerrero accepted the information but spent more time
discussing his country's internal response to the price
shocks.

2. Guerrero specifically asked for information on port
conditions on the U.S. Gulf Coast and how that might affect
future fuel shipments to Honduras. Post would welcome any
additional information on the current condition of Gulf
Coast petroleum terminals and other ports that could affect
refined products exports to Honduras or the region.
