UNCLAS SAN SALVADOR 002504 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: PREL, ES, UNGA SUBJECT: EL SALVADOR UN SUMMIT OUTCOME DOCUMENT DEMARCHE REF: STATE 163224 1. (U) Poloff delivered Ref A demarche to Felix Ulloa, MFA Officer in charge of United Nations and Multilateral Organizations. Ulloa stated that he had not yet received a copy of the September 6 draft of the Outcome Document and that the Salvadoran government was concerned by the fact that the document was suffering from an ever-expanding scope. The original three-page document has expanded to over 40 pages, and now contains many issues guided by special interests. He expressed the GOES goal of a more streamlined final document. 2. (U) On September 8, a copy of the current version of the Outcome document was sent via e-mail to Ulloa. Poloff verified that Ulloa has now received a copy of the September 6 document. Butler
