Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS TEGUCIGALPA 001847 SIPDIS DEPT. FOR WHA/PD; IIP/G/WHA DIPASQUALE; AND IIP/T/ES DEPT. FOR EB/TPP DCLUNE, WHA/EPSC AND WHA/CEN DEPT. PASS USTR E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: OIIP, KPAO, ETRD, HO, USTR SUBJECT: MEDIA REACTION ON CAFTA, SEPTEMBER 06, 2005 1. On 09/03 the Tegucigalpa-based liberal daily "La Tribuna" published an op-ed by Victor Narvaez Bonilla entitled "The Well-known CAFTA." "For the first time we will talk about the Free Trade Agreement between the U.S., Central America, and Dominican Republic, the well-known CAFTA; we will see what the final results will be." "Those who are against the treaty haven't been able to convince me. The wall of the Municipal Palace of Tegucigalpa is clean again. You could read before on the wall: `No CAFTA.' I don't pay attention to whoever does such things." "On the other hand, a spokesperson who is against CAFTA mispronounced several words in one of his speeches. How can another person believe in an analysis by a person who can't speak the language correctly?" "We have to pay attention to those people who are equal to or better than us. That also is applicable when we elect our authorities. We have to be aware of that in the general election that will take place on November 27, 2005." "My `fans' [readers] are asking me to continue writing. I won't disappoint them and forgive me for my modesty. The truth shall be spoken." Williard
