US embassy cable - 05SANAA2469

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

reaction to the Al-Moayed sentencing. AMB noted concern with
a planned Consular trip into the Saada province and asked for
careful security coordination. RSO noted that the details of
the trip have already been passed to the security division of
MOI , who will re-analyze the security situation closer to
the trip date.

3. (S/NF) USAID stated that their current polio vaccine
program in the Al-Jowf area is still on hold pending new
information from the MOI, regarding the security/tribal
situation in that area.

4. (S/NF) AMB stressed the importance of not "stacking up"
at the embassy in the mornings with regard to arrival times.
Section heads were reminded to ensure their personnel vary
their routes and times on a daily basis.

5. (S/NF) Embassy Sana'a continues to remain vigilant and
employ sound security practices with regard to physical and
personal security.
