This is an action request: Post received the following diplomatic note from the ministry of foreign affairs requesting that embassy provide the Arabic spellings of the names contained in the most recent list of names added to E.O. 13224 (reftel). Post would appreciate guidance on how to respond. 2. Begin text of diplomatic note. THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ref. No.: Waw Meem/United States/1/2179 Date: October 3, 2002 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs presents its compliments to the Embassy of the United States of America in Amman. In reference to the Embassy Diplomatic Note No. 1483 dated October 2, 2002 regarding the addition of four individuals to the United States' list that are subject to the American President's decree No. 13224. The Ministry would like to inform the Embassy that the concerned names were not listed in the translation of the above mentioned Embassy Diplomatic Note. For the sake of accuracy and to avoid any problem, the Ministry hopes that the Embassy supply it with the concerned names in Arabic language to be able to take the necessary procedures.
