He expressed U.S. concern that the Government of Syria was using periodic border blockades to politically manipulate Lebanon and asked that the GOK remind the GOS that such behavior was unacceptable. Al-Murad advised the Ambassador that the GOK shared our concerns about Syrian involvement in Lebanon. LEBARON
