Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

UNCLAS PARIS 005575 SIPDIS FROM USMISSION UNESCO STATE FOR IO/S/EA - MADELYN EVANS E.O. 12958: N/A TAGS: AORC, APER, PARM, PREL, CWC, UNESCO, OPCW SUBJECT: USUNESCO: UPCOMING KEY SENIOR POSTS REF: STATE 110783 1. Given the Director General's campaign for re- election and the uncertainty of UNESCO's budget, senior post openings at UNESCO are unpredictable. It is worth noting at this point however, that now that US citizens are in the ADG Education position and the Deputy ADG of External relations position, it is unlikely that that a US citizen will be appointed for another ADG or Deputy ADG position. The Mission will respond with upcoming vacancies, including Director posts, by December 2005, following the election of the Director General and the finalization of the 2006-2007 UNESCO budget. Should any vacancies become apparent before then, Mission will immediately notify IO/S. KOSS
