REASON: 1.4 (B) (C) On August 17 Charge made reftel points to Jordanian FM Farouk Kasrawi. Kasrawi concurred that further disruption of traffic from Lebanon was of concern. He noted that Jordan has been counseling the SARG to abandon its confrontational posture on this and other issues of concern to the U.S., and would discuss next steps with the Prime Minister. HALE
