US embassy cable - 05KINGSTON1924

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

On July 22, Poloff delivered reftel talking points to Angella
Brown, Deputy Director, International Organizations
Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade
(MFAFT). By phone on August 12, Brown thanked Poloff for the
information, which she said is being used to prepare internal
briefing papers for the upcoming General Assembly. Brown
declined to share the GOJ's position on the Democracy Fund,
admitting that UNSC reform discussions are overshadowing
other issues. She did say that the GOJ would like to move
beyond the UNSC and refocus its efforts on broader issues,
including the Democracy Fund.
