Embassy Amman nominates for the October 17-28 USPTO Visiting Scholars Program the following candidate from Jordan's Ministry of Industry and Trade: Mr. Khaled Arabeyyat Director Industrial Property Protection Directorate Ministry of Industry and Trade Mr. Arabeyyat supervises the entire division of the ministry overseeing registration and resolution of IP issues, including registration of patents and trademarks. He meets all criteria outlined in reftel. 2. Post understands that USPTO provides all Visiting Scholars program-related materials free of charge. Through the USAID Mission AMIR Program's Private Sector Policy Initiative unit, post will provide travel and living expenses for Mr. Arabeyyat during his program at USPTO headquarters and visits to other locations in the Washington D.C. area. 3.
