(U) This cable is an interim report on GOP attendance to the High-Level Event (HLE) and the 60th UNGA General Debate. GOP officials will provide Embassy with additional information after the first week of August. 2. (SBU) GOP delegation is as follows: A. Head of State: --Martin Torrijos, President of the Republic of Panama --Arrives in New York September 4 on personal travel and will attend General Debate; must confirm attendance at HLE --Spouse: First Lady Vivian Torrijos will accompany President Torrijos on travel B. Head of Government: N/A C. Foreign Minister: --Samuel Lewis Navarro, First Vice President and Foreign Minister --Arrives in New York September 4 on personal travel; must confirm attendance at General Debate --Spouse: Ana Gretel Lewis will accompany Foreign Minister Lewis on travel D. Other VIP's: --Luis Melo, President's aide --Arrives in New York September 4 on personal travel; must confirm attendance at General Debate --Guido Fuentes, Foreign Minister's aide --Arrives in New York September 4 on personal travel; must confirm attendance at General Debate E.
