Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

C O N F I D E N T I A L PARIS 005194 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: DECL: 07/27/2015 TAGS: PREL, IZ, FR, UNSC SUBJECT: FRENCH WILL SUPPORT IRAQ RESOLUTION ON TERRORIST ATTACKS AND PROPOSE MINOR CHANGES TO TEXT REF: STATE 138466 Classified By: Political Minister-Counselor Josiah Rosenblatt, reasons 1.4 (b) and (d). (C) We shared the Iraqi draft UNSCR on terrorist attacks in Iraq (reftel) with MFA action officer for UN Middle East issues Alice Guitton at OOB July 27, and urged French support. Guitton later confirmed to us that instructions had been sent to the French UN mission in New York to support the text, with minor modifications, such as adding a reference to UNSCR 1546 to the first preambular paragraph. She reiterated that the resolution was wholly consistent with French condemnations of terrorism in Iraq. STAPLETON
