Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

C O N F I D E N T I A L DUBLIN 000935 SIPDIS E.O. 12958: DECL: 07/27/2015 TAGS: PREL, ECON, ETRD SUBJECT: IRELAND SUPPORTS U.S. RE: SYRIAN-LEBANESE BORDER BLOCKAGE REF: SECSTATE 135904 Classified By: Pol/Econ Chief Mary Daly for reasons 1.4 (b) and (d) (C) On July 27, Stephen Dawson, Acting Director of the DFA's Middle East Division, told POL/ECON chief that Ireland shares U.S. concern about Syria's actions on the border with Lebanon. The Irish do not have an embassy in Damascus nor are the Syrians represented in Dublin. The GOI will thus raise the matter within the EU and will ask its Embassy in Riyahd to raise with the Saudis.
