REF: SECSTATE 136798 Classified By: Classified by CDA Nabeel Khoury for reasons 1.4 (b) and (d) 1. (S/NF) CDA convened an EAC as requested in reftel. POLM, OMC, DAO, POL/ECON, PD, AID, FPD and MO were represented. The EAC noted that the Yemeni government remains on a high state of alert as a result of last weekend's rioting and has still not lifted the ban on travel outside the city for the diplomatic corps. U.S. Embassy Sanaa's state of alertness likewise remains very high. Embassy has no information of any specific new threat as a result of the attacks in Sharm El Sheikh. Embassy personnel were advised to read the Department's latest travel advisory for Egypt and to remain vigilant. RSO is currently reviewing security measures at hotels approved for TDYers and Embassy Sanaa maintains the same increased security posture instituted during the drawdown in April. Khoury
