(HIGH-LEVEL EVENT) AND 60TH UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY

1.  (SBU) The MFA's International Organizations Division has 
informed us that the following GoA officials will attend the 
High-Level Event (HLE) and the 60th General Assembly: 
 
 
A. Head of State 
 
--President Heinz Fischer will attend the HLE. 
 
--Spouse may or may not attend. 
 
--Arrive September 13; depart September 16 
 
--No interpretation required 
 
 
B. Head of Government 
 
--Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel will not attend either event. 
 
 
C. Foreign Minister 
 
--Foreign Minister Ursula Plassnik will attend the UNGA. 
 
--Arrive September 16; depart September 22 
 
--No interpretation required 
 
 
D. Other VIPs 
 
--MFA State Secretary Hans Winkler will accompany President 
Fischer to the HLE and attend part of the UNGA.

--Helmut Boek, Deputy Head of the MFA's International
