A/DCM delivered Ref A demarche July 13 to Walid Obeidat, head
of the Foreign Minister's Private Office. Obeidat commented
that he had spoken July 12 by telephone with Jordan's UN
Permanent Representative, who confirmed that Jordan "was on
the same track" as the US. Charge will follow up after
Foreign Minister Qasrawi returns to Jordan next week.
