Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

Not for Internet publication. (SBU) In response to reftel, Luciano Baldacci, Director of Radio Wave Communications at the Italian Ministry of Communication and Italy's Head of Delegation to the upcoming International Telecommunication Union council meeting, said Italy agrees with the U.S. proposal to restore the single state veto. He said Italy has been in contact with other EU member states and that there is some opposition to the U.S. proposal, particularly from the UK. Italy will try to stay with a common EU position, but ultimately will support the U.S. at the council meeting. Baldacci invited members of the U.S. delegation to contact him in Geneva starting Monday, July 11, to discuss further. SEMBLER NNNN 2005ROME02295 - Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
