1. (S) MFA Head of Department for Arms Control and
Disarmament Affairs Osman Yavuzalp contacted PolMilCouns on
July 4 regarding the shipment of Chinese-origin
missile-related equipment to Iran (reftels). Yavuzalp
informed PolMilCouns that the shipment had been recalled by
the owner back to China. The ship was scheduled to set sail
that day from Istanbul.

shipment.
